The difference between PP and OPP material and application

PP: Polypropylene is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic plastics. It has the high resistance to impact, coriaceous mechanical properties, resistance to a variety of organic solvents and acid and alkali corrosion. With a wide range of applications in industry, this is one of the usual common polymer materials.


1. OPP, PE, PET and so on are all plastic products.

2. They all are the name of a kind of plastic bags.


Tactile aspects: OPP appears to more brittle, the softness of PP should be better.


In the flexible packaging industry, BOPP is simply called as OPP for short.
