Heat Shrink Sleeve Production Process

After the artworks and printing proof approved, the production of heat shrink sleeve will be proceeding. Indeed, Texin offers three different materials for shrink sleeves, PVC shrink sleeve, PET shrink sleeve and OPS shrink sleeves. Each of them has their own advantages and special applications. There are total Five Steps in shrink sleeve production, cylinder making, mass printing, cutting, packing and shipping.


First of all, we will start cylinder (based on rotogravure printing) making as the first step after printing proof approved. Our pre-press team will work out the color separation, and each color will be engraved onto a cylinder, reproducing every graphics and details. Texin will put the printing quality as priority when considering color separation.


When cylinders are ready, we will take action in printing. Our printing engineer will install all the cylinders into the press and make final color fine-tunes. Once the printing outcomes match the printing proof, we will carry out the mass printing.


After the printing finished, shrink sleeves are on roll form which is called roll fed stocks. Some major brand owners don’t want the labels being cut into pieces. They have auto shrink sleeve machine to do the labeling automatically.


Some customers asked for cutting labels into pieces. So the third step is slitting the roll labels to make the width of finished labels the exact same as the approved proof, and then roll shrink sleeves will be put into the cutting machine and be cut into pieces.


Texin workers will make inspection during the cutting process. After all the sleeve labels being cut into pieces, they will be packed into cartons and sent out to their destinations.
